This one will benefit Rescue Runway Columbus, which represents 6 different animal rescue organizations in central Ohio. How does DarlaTours help? $200 of every registration goes directly to Rescue Runway. We have also donated a trip for 2 for this exclusive trip to be raffled off by Rescue Runway. You can find out more about Rescue Runway here.
This trip was designed with furkid parents in mind. It is short, just 6 nights/7 days in Ireland, yet it hits many of the best that Ireland has to offer.

The trip includes airfare from Columbus to a major east coast airport then also includes the transatlantic leg of the journey as well. We will land in Dublin and tour the city, Guinness Storehouse, and the Jenny Lynn famine ship. Dublin is rich in history, from Vikings, to British occupation, to potato famine. Dublin is also a hotbed of Irish culture. We will end the first day with an early group dinner so you can either hit the town or call it a day.
The second day if a free day in Dublin to explore. Dublin is a very compact city so most places are traveled by foot however they also have a very good bus system. Taxis work on the Uber app. Or let DarlaTours arrange a day trip out of town to the Wicklow Mountains, Game of Thrones tour, or the Titanic Museum in Belfast for a small fee.
The third day we will head west to the Wild Atlantic Way to the Cliff of Moher. The Cliffs are the tallest cliffs in Europe and are breath-taking. We will first tour the cliffs by land. The views are spectacular. We will then head to the docks and catch a ferry to see the cliffs from the sea to get an entirely different perspective. We will then turn northward and travel through the Burrens Geopark. This is a landscape that is found nowhere else in the world and looks almost moon-like.
By the end of the third day we will be in Galway, the friendliest city in Europe. You will find street musicians on most corners and pubs flowing into the alleys.
On the forth day, we will travel to nearby Bunratty Castle and Folkpark. Bunratty Castle is a restored example of medieval castles and full of history. The folk park let's you travel back in time to see Ireland in days gone by. We will return to Galway in time for lunch and some shopping.
The fifth day we head north through Game of Thrones territory into Northern Ireland. We will tour Giant's Causeway and learn of the mythical giant, Finn McCool, who is said to have built the Causeway to Scotland. After the visit, you might believe it too. We will end the day staying in the northern walled city of Derry, or Londonderry, depending on your politics.
On the sixth day, we will travel across the heart of Ireland back to Dublin and top off the day with a final group dinner.
For all of you foodies, 80% of all food and drink on this trip will be locally grown in Ireland. Food is very fresh.
We hope you will join us for this incredible trip that benefits some of the best animal rescues in Columbus.
